This is a temporary part-time non-exempt leadership assignment. The selected candidate will work approximately 24 hours/week across 2–3 days/week and must clock in/out in accordance with company policy. Duration of assignment may vary based on operational needs. 

 

Job Summary
In conjunction with unit management, this individual will monitor activities to ensure compliance with Company, government, and accrediting agency standards and regulations within the assigned operation. This role supports daily dining operations within a healthcare-focused environment while helping ensure quality, safety, sanitation, service consistency, and operational efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepares production and operational reports for management and helps ensure the operation meets expectations related to quality, productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction
• Supports daily operational oversight across dining service, sanitation, infection control, and facility-related activities
• Assists with maintaining healthcare dining compliance, food safety, sanitation, and operational standards
• Helps ensure excellent client, resident, and customer service throughout daily operations
• Supports cost-effective operational management while maintaining service quality and compliance standards
• Assists with team leadership, coaching, training, mentoring, and associate development
• Encourages associate growth, accountability, and advancement within the organization
• Maintains strong communication with management, associates, clients, and customers
• Follows all health, safety, sanitation, and infection-control guidelines
• May support occasional overnight travel within the region if operationally required
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associate degree or comparable relevant experience preferred
• 3–5 years of relevant foodservice, healthcare dining, or operational leadership experience
• Supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt within a fast-paced operational environment
• Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, accountability, professionalism, and leadership presence
• Healthcare, rehabilitation, hospital, or senior living foodservice experience strongly preferred
• Experience with modified or texture diets preferred
• ServSafe certification preferred

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and compliance documentation. Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively with management, associates, residents, clients, and customers.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percentages, ratios, and interpret operational reporting metrics.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram-based instructions and resolve operational issues involving multiple variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing, tasting, and smelling may be required.

The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
