Introduction:
IronWatch Security is excited to partner with ID.me in our search for qualified unarmed security guards to protect and secure restricted areas. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of the facilities and ensuring a safe environment for staff and visitors. We are looking for vigilant, trustworthy, and customer-focused individuals who can manage access control, uphold company policies, and respond efficiently to emergency situations.
Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas to deter unauthorized entry, protect ID.me property, and perform entry controller duties
- Monitor and secure all entry control points, ensuring each person is validated upon entry
- Exercise judgment and use discretion in dealing with emergencies and security violations encountered
- Receive specialized training in methods and techniques of protecting security areas
- Effectively manage and de-escalate conflicts
- Lift, carry, and move incapacitated individuals in emergency situations
- Control access to building and grounds allowing access under company policy
- Protect personnel and property in a professional manner
- Provide first aid, CPR, and assist during emergencies as necessary
- Be fully familiar with building layout, floor plans, manual fire alarm locations, fire extinguisher locations, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) locations, emergency routes, and evacuation assembly points
- Remain on post until properly relieved and pass all information relevant to the post to the relieving Security Officer
- Perform activities in exterior and interior work environments, sometimes in inclement weather
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a position of Public Trust which requires US Citizenship
- Minimum of 2 years in a security position (law enforcement experience and military experience accepted)
- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid US Driver's License
- Fluently read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to perform shift work (8 or 12-hour shifts)
- DCJS certification as an unarmed security guard (01E) or law enforcement /military experience (must get DCJS certification if hired)
Additional Qualifications (If selected post-interview)
- If selected, the candidate must pass a PAT (Physical Agility Test) that tests the candidate's fitness and strength to handle the demands of the job, including the ability to physically defend against an attacker.
