The Job:  

As an Account Manager you’ll be part of our Troy, MI team working as a hybrid employee. You’ll get to:  

  • The primary goal of the position is to increase penetration and deliver year over year organic growth with the assigned accounts.
  • Work directly with the OEM and affiliate sales groups to drive product specification/ Print position on strategically targeted vehicle segments.
  • Responsible to input and update data and prepare required sales forecasts for assigned accounts. This includes reporting all actual or potential obstacles inhibiting achievement of assigned revenue goals and objectives.
  • Other duties include providing feedback to the Company regarding market forces influencing customer attitudes and behavior, as well as continued observation and analysis of all competitor behavior, changes in pricing strategies, financial conditions, etc.
  • Identify customer application issues through one on one sales calls at Chrysler engineering.
  • Identify new opportunities through line walks at Chrysler assembly plants and tier manufacturing plants.
  • Develop strong customer relationships through entertaining customers at lunches, dinners and sporting events.
  • Manage sales data which includes vehicle penetration, lost revenue, and sales forecast
  • Execute action items per target vehicle and or segment plan.
  • Represent company and uphold the brand with the highest level of integrity at all times
  • Be the customer advocate and drive the organization to ensure that agreed upon customer milestones are met
  • Act as a voice of the customer to Product Line Management and Design Engineering assisting in the process of documenting, qualifying and consolidating customer CTQs on new products and updates to existing products.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business as well as a minimum of 1-3 years of experience within automotive OEM environment, however experience within fortune 500 corporate environment will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated track record of achievement in college with work experience and internships.
  • Participated in professional sales training for B2B sales, either in house training or outside training.
  • Preferred additional education: MBA
  • Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Competitive in nature and proven demonstrated examples of competitive nature
  • Demonstrated ambition: bias for speed and action, passion for excellence, hates to lose/loves to win, sets aggressive goals and celebrates progress
  • Demonstrated customer focus: strives to be best in class and exceed customer expectations, desire and ability to overcome customer objections, strong advocate for customer
  • Demonstrated team player
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a wide range of commercial and technical issues across multiple product technologies
  • Professional negotiating training for B2B sales
  • Takes calculated risks based on quality data
