JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Typical Duties:

• Maintain, clean, organize, and improve laboratory space.

• Purchase supplies and consumables, manage laboratory inventories, and handle invoices.

• Prepare samples for analysis, including drying, grinding, and instrument-specific preparation.

• Prepare analytical standards for instrument calibration and quality control.

Required Skills and Qualifications: SRCL is a multi-user facility that supports diverse users and projects, with a strong focus on prioritizing customer needs. While on-the-job learning is expected with encouraged self-directed opportunities, desired candidate will have:

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks.

• Ability to follow detailed protocols for sample preparation, instrument operation, and data management.

• Commitment to lab safety practices.

Basic understanding of instrumental analysis and experience with wet chemistry standards preparation is a plus. Advanced responsibilities, such as operating analytical instruments and training users, may be offered after sufficient training and skill development.
