Department Overview
Our Accounting department keeps the official books and records of the company, publishes financial statements and compliance documents, and provides analyses and tools to company leaders to make the best business decisions. The department is made up of several groups who work together to complete all accounting functions including Loan Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Procurement, Financial Reporting, Corporate Taxes, Special Initiatives, and Financial Reporting & Analysis.
The Impact You Will Have
The Senior Analyst supports the Accounting and Procurement departments by overseeing approvals and managing payments, leases, and fixed assets. This role also assists with procurement-related activities, including requests for proposals (RFPs), contract lifecycle management, and purchase order and requisition processing.
Primary Responsibilities
- Respond timely to all inquiries from vendors, users, and across departments
- Support internal RFPs, vendor evaluations/scoring, and contract lifecycle management
- Create and maintain internal procedure documents and educate users
- Identify and execute process improvements
- Analyze quarterly data and provide feedback to management
- Manage Corporate Travel program, including usage and policy enforcement
- Communicate and problem-solve daily with teammates, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders, possibly in combination with travel
- Support lease accounting including corporate accruals, property taxes and corporate 1099’s
- Other duties as assigned
- Attendance is generally required from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm local time, Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
Education and Experience
- Associate degree in accounting or finance preferred
- 3+ years’ experience in full-cycle accounts payable, procurement, or corporate accounting
- Experience in contract negotiation and contract lifecycle management
- Experience with Coupa or similar online expense reporting and invoice processing systems preferred
- Experience with NetSuite or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Highly motivated and adaptable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage supplier challenges, address issues, and resolve conflicts independently
- Proactively takes ownership of problem-solving and consistently upholds accounting best practices.
- Ability to meet key deadlines and prioritize effectively
- Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes
- Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders
This position has an estimated base salary of $70,000 - $80,000 plus a discretionary bonus. An employment offer is based on the applicant’s relevant work experience, applicable knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
