Job Overview
We seek a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team and help us develop our Android Mobile SDK. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the Android SDK that our customers use to instrument their mobile apps and collect statistics on user behavior. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Android mobile app development, SDK development, and a deep understanding of Android platform architecture.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Android SDKs that are easy to use, reliable, and efficient.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and provide guidance on SDK usage.
- Write automated tests and conduct code reviews to maintain the quality of the SDK.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues that arise in the SDKs and resolve them promptly.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest Android technologies and integrate them into our SDKs when necessary.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers on the team and integration engineers working with customers.
- Join calls with our customers' developers to review implementation issues and guide the customer to resolution.
- Work directly with our Data Science team to review and ensure the correctness of events captured for analysis and expand our capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in developing Android mobile applications.
- Strong knowledge of Android platform architecture and programming languages. Strong Kotlin expertise is a must.
- Experience in designing and developing Android SDKs.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Espresso.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in developing SDKs for mobile applications.
- Familiarity with Github, Github Actions, Terraform Cloud, Jira, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with reactive programming frameworks such as RxJava.
- Familiarity with native cloud services provided by AWS.
