Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Product Owner / Manager to support, manage and bring Experian products to market within our Consumer Information Services division. Experian is building numerous solutions and API’s for the credit industry and direct-to-consumer products and is looking for someone with a passion for building services and capabilities that power and ensure exceptional experiences within the credit ecosystem of internal/external clients, partners, and developers.  We are also reinvigorating existing platforms to support our compliance obligations, a critical workstream that will enable Experian to build functionality to support our contact centers, and service our consumers quickly in the channel of their choice.

The ideal candidate will have a strong drive for results, interpersonal skills, positive attitude and be comfortable managing and coordinating cross functional teams. You must have a strong knowledge of Agile methodology and business acumen to prioritize competing user stories. In addition, you should have strong organization, planning skills with a consistent track record for delivering commitments on time. You’ll work in a fast paced, high communication environment where collaboration with the clients, product management, quality assurance and development teams is key to your day-to-day success.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Manage the cross-functional strategic planning and business planning process, leading conversations with key stakeholders to develop concepts for strategic initiatives, and developing those into detailed program/project plans (including roadmaps, funding planning, resource planning)
  • Partner with stakeholders to own and execute product launches and feature enhancements related to a variety of products within CIS and MCE
  • Manage multiple projects and products that enhance the consumer/client user experience using Agile Methodology working with Experian multiple business units’ product and development teams. Define and communicate user stories, business objectives, and product requirements to the team
  • Ownership of MCE P&L for select products such as Express Request, Freeze, Fraud Alerts, Dispute Support, Live Agent Assist, and Credit Education. Actively manage the product roadmap, pricing, marketing, GTM strategy, VOCs, and Sales enablement
  • Conduct research on product positioning, pricing/revenue, competitor products/services and market trends to put forth roadmap recommendations
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights, understand current business processes, challenges, and opportunities to deliver a great customer experience. Must have the technical knowledge to engage and prioritize for development teams while also being able to interface directly with users that may have a wide range of technology expertise (basic to advanced)
  • Evaluate and recommend which products should be brought to market and implemented
  • Create Sales tools and industry market messaging for appropriate product opportunities within new and existing markets
  • Engage partners across Experian from sales, marketing, engineering, service and operations to ensure we are developing products and services that drive revenue, ensure compliance and manage gross margins according to business expectations
  • Apply market intelligence and P&L analysis against product investments to establish priority and highest revenue opportunities

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Financial Services industry 
  • Ability to lead, drive consensus and deliver in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders 
  • Strong background in analytics to make product decisions and to iterate rapidly 
  • 3+ years' experience with software or technology product management and/or development 
  • 3+ years' experience with Agile development methodologies 
  • 3+ years’ experience managing product and/or platform APIs as a product through the full life-cycle
