What we want
The Certified Pharmacy Technician II, under general supervision, performs technical duties associated with the preparation of prescription orders. Assists in the planning and execution of administrative and purchasing activities for the pharmacy.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma
Three years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting.
Required Licenses and Certifications
Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field.
Five years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting.
Related experience in a college health pharmacy environment.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Responsibilities
Pharmacy Technician
Receives and verifies prescription and refill requests, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Performs technical tasks related to prescription preparation and fulfillment.
Collects and documents required information for patient medication records.
Assists customers in person and by phone by answering basic questions, locating items, or referring them to the pharmacist for medication-related inquiries.
Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
Conducts research on medication pricing and availability.
Purchasing
Coordinates and oversees pharmacy purchasing and receiving activities.
Applies and interprets purchasing policies; assist in developing and implementing new procedures.
Enters requisitions in AggieBuy, place orders with vendors, verify receipt of items, and review invoices for the Chief Pharmacist.
