At Blue Origin, we envision a future of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost launch vehicles and space systems within a culture of safety and collaboration. Join our diverse team of innovators and problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a heavy-lift launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to Earth’s orbit and beyond. Engineered with a reusable first stage and a seven-meter payload fairing, New Glenn is building the road to space.
As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will work on launch vehicles, launch facility systems and in-space vehicles for the New Glenn Program. You will work across stages and associated subsystems to support integrated solutions to achieve our vision of “millions of people living and working in space.” You will support all certification efforts on the New Glenn (NG) program, including the internal Program led certification and leveraging the data developed to enable external government agency certification of the New Glenn system allowing the program to fly critical payloads for our government customers. Tasks will include planning and execution of all aspects of certification and demonstrating compliance to our customers. You will provide leadership in mitigating, tracking, and providing, status for key certification risks. You will assist in the development of an integrated approach to achieving NG certification for lower-level component qualification to system level certification. Successful candidates will contribute directly to establishing and continuously improving the program level processes and in developing the implementation and execution strategy. You will be responsible for monitoring/managing the qualification and certification progress and coordinating program level certification events. You will also be directly responsible for providing necessary certification document and support to demonstrate compliance with the USSF National Security Space Launch (NSSL) program certification requirements. Integration and coordinate among various stakeholders (Blue Origin internal and external government) on a wide array of qualification and certification activities and issues is essential for success. Lastly, you must have the adaptability and flexibility to perform at a high-level in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be a respected team member! Passion for our mission and vision is required!
