In this role, you will:
Accountable for defining strategy, vision, and roadmap to drive responsible growth, profitability, and competitive advantage for Wells Fargo Card
Define and execute strategies to reduce complexity and increase execution quality through simplification of product features and terms
Develop, test, analyze and implement product, credit, and marketing strategies to achieve the financial objective relevant to macro-economic conditions
Work closely with cross functional teams (Credit, Marketing, Finance, Tech, Risk, Operations) to drive impact on a given product, problem, or initiative
Be responsible for ensuring all key regulatory and business requirements are met effectively for all implemented ideas
Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies as needed
Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals including senior leadership to predict current and future needs and achieve consistent application of definitions, measurement, and interpretation
Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives
Lead a team of direct reports as well as cross-functional resources
Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of Product Management or leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
Credit Card industry experience, especially at multiple leading credit card issuers
Prior experience in credit card roles as general manager responsible for portions of P&L
Prior experience in credit card lending roles, ideally in varying aspects of credit and lending risk (originations, customer management, fraud, collections)
Prior experience in roles leading launches or implementation of new products or capabilities, or integrations/transformations of technology platforms
Prior experience in data science or analytics roles involving projects with data infrastructure (data, platforms, models, monitoring tools)
Prior experience in multiple credit card segments (consumer across full risk spectrum, small business, commercial, partnerships/co-brands)
Strong understanding and application of risk management principles
Strong conceptual thinking and ability to drive clarity in ambiguity while dealing with credit and operational problems
Professional verbal and written presentation skills
Expertise in credit, product, and marketing data and analysis
Outstanding problem solving and decision-making skills based on analysis, rigorous logic, market and consumer dynamics, and operational assessments
A demonstrated focus on leading, coaching, mentoring and guiding team member development
Job Expectations:
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
This position offers a hybrid work schedule
