Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurate payroll tax payments and filings with appropriate federal, state and local agencies. Including federal tax withholding, state withholding unemployment tax, 941s, 940s, W-2s, W-3s, quarterly and annual state filings.
- Review for payment quarterly 941 and Federal 940, state, city and local tax returns
- Respond to queries from Federal (IRS and Social Security Administration) and state agencies
- Audit/ review quarterly reports to flag and address any issues before year-end W-2 processing
- Support all internal and external audits.
- Reconciling/resolving payroll tax issues internally and externally
- Responds and follows up with employee and tax agency requests and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Understanding of current laws and regulations and applying law or regulation changes to current payroll and tax processes
- Responsible for researching any tax variances during reconciliation and taking appropriate actions to correct.
- Track and audit state, local, unemployment tax withholding requirements in system to ensure accurate information; provide updates to payroll team
Requirements:
- 3 + years of payroll tax experience
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
- 3-5 year of experience working with state / local tax set up, reporting, filing, etc.
- Experience with GL finance terms, transactions and month end reconciliations
- Multi-state payroll experience strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially advanced use of Excel
- Salary: $76,000 - $113,000/Yr.

The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for a bonus and other benefits.
