RATE OF PAY: $27.91/HOUR
THIS POSITION IS DAY SHIFT: MONDAY - FRIDAY, 7AM-330PM.

SUMMARY OF FUNCTION: The Lead Quality Assurance Technician will facilitate and assist in the Quality Assurance, document control & safety functions at the plant.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager in scheduling and management of all equipment calibrations
-
Manage the schedule of Quality Assurance Technicians
-
Conduct training for new Quality Assurance Technicians
-
Prepare Certification of Compliance as requested
-
Inspect products during the extrusion process using calipers, micrometers, tape, and weight scale
-
Compare product with customer specifications
-
Make decision on product status, and mark the type of defect if applicable
-
Document information on work orders
-
Inspect and tag reels
-
Test incoming raw material and conduit, and record the date
-
Operate diagnostic equipment needed to perform job
-
Maintain neat and orderly work area
-
Follow all safety requirements
-
SAP daily movements, transactions, and system management
-
Perform all other tasks and projects as assigned or required

Quality Laboratory Scheduling and Management
-
TL900 (ISO) Plant setup and preparation through internal audits
-
Document control management process
-
Additional duties as required
EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
-
Reading, writing, and mathematical competency testing required
-
Minimum of two years of experience in quality / inspection procedures
-
Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) and file management.

Knowledge of centralized enterprise management systems
OCCUPATIONAL AND / OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
-
Ability to learn and use laboratory and inspection equipment
-
Good communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to recognize color spectrum
-
Fully mobile from one manufacturing area to another
-
Able to step over and / or bend under objects
-
Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 Ibs with or without reasonable assistance
-
Must be able to work flexible shifts as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
-
Work in manufacturing environment and inside quality control laboratory
-
Will include outside conditions in all types of weather.

Will work around moving forklifts and machinery
*Tuition reimbursement you must be a full-time employee and complete one continuous year of employment. You will receive $5,000 a year for undergrad and $7,500 a year for grad.**
