Job Description

Team:

We are looking to hire a passionate, self-directed, and tenacious individual who will become an influencer on the ServiceNow’s Data Encryption team.  Be a part of the exciting, fast paced team that is creating leading platform security solutions for our customers. 

Our team is working to secure our customer’s data at rest, in use and in transit through advanced authorization access controls, cryptography algorithms, and practices. 

 
What you'll do and need to know: 

• You’ll design and develop both at-rest and in transit data encryption features of the platform that will be used by our customers.
• Develop next-gen credential management features that embraces zero-trust concepts.
• Provide API to manage large data volume and record lifecycles while keeping customer data secure.
• Work on features and help nurture forensic abilities to craft detailed root cause analysis and mitigation plans for issues introduced by the data encryption layer of the platform.
• Partner closely with tech leads to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation, test automation and delivery of high-quality product to our users.
• Be part of an org that design software that is simple to use to allow customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific needs.
• Help design, develop, and implement new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite.  

To be successful you should have:

• Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations 
• Experience in Cloud platform/PaaS 
• Experience and/or knowledge of analytical and design skills 

Nice to have: 

• Experience and background in security a plus  

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development experience 
• 4+ years working experience with Java or a similar OO language.

For positions in California (outside of the Bay Area), we offer a base pay of $119,970 - $204,030, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs (subject to eligibility requirements). Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location. For individuals who will be working in the Bay Area, there is a pay enhancement for positions located in that geographical area; please contact your recruiter for additional information.
