About the Team & Role 

At Auger, we are reimagining how global supply chains operate by harnessing the power of data, AI, and next-generation technologies. Central to this vision is the design and evolution of a cutting-edge data lake and AI platform, the backbone of our real-time insights, intelligent applications, and advanced decision-making capabilities. As a Principal Engineer for the Auger Platform, you will bring deep expertise in the following:

1. End-to-End Systems Architecture: 

• Proven ability to design and orchestrate complex, multi-layered architectures that seamlessly integrate data pipelines, AI/ML platforms, and application layers. 

• Expertise in creating modular, scalable architectures that connect the data integration layer (ETL/ELT, APIs) with semantic graph systems, AI platforms, and user interfaces. 

• Familiarity with architectural frameworks such as microservices, event-driven architectures, and domain-driven design. 

2. Data Integration and API Layers: 

• Proficiency in building robust data integration pipelines for ingesting, normalizing, and orchestrating data from diverse sources, both structured and unstructured. 

• Experience with API-first design principles and the ability to design scalable APIs to serve as the backbone of the platform, using REST, GraphQL, and gRPC. 

• Knowledge of real-time streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Apache Pulsar) and middleware platforms for low-latency integration. 

3. Semantic Intelligence and Knowledge Graph Systems: 

• Advanced understanding of semantic modeling, knowledge graphs, and ontology design to enable context-aware AI systems. 

• Ability to architect systems that leverage graph databases, vector embeddings, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) techniques to unify and contextualize data across the platform. 

• Expertise in graph-based AI algorithms, including graph embeddings, link prediction, and graph neural networks (GNNs). 

4. AI Platform Architecture and Optimization: 

• Strong experience in designing scalable AI/ML platforms for training, deploying, and managing AI models (e.g., Kubernetes, TensorFlow Serving, Ray). 

• Knowledge of MLOps pipelines, automation tools (e.g., MLflow, SageMaker, Databricks), and model lifecycle management. 

• Ability to integrate cutting-edge AI techniques, such as LLMs, embeddings, and multimodal models, into end-user applications via the platform. 

5. AI-driven Applications and UX/UI Integration: 

• Deep expertise in integrating AI capabilities into application layers
