Job Description
Reporting to the Director, Employer Relations & Career Center Operations, the Marketing & Events Coordinator actively supports a student-centered career center which serves an undergraduate and graduate population pursuing degrees in engineering, the sciences, business and management, the humanities, and the fine arts. The successful incumbent is responsible for executing marketing strategies to increase student engagement in career center events and programs and supporting the execution of new career center events and initiatives.
Responsibilities
Oversee and update the career center’s marketing platforms and website using effective communication to engage undergraduate and graduate students.
Create and manage the semester and annual event marketing calendar.
Use print, email, social and digital media to ensure students are aware of career center resources, events, and programs.
Collaborate with the Career & Talent Development and Employer Engagement Teams to create a cohesive annual marketing strategy.
Design fliers and effective marketing collateral to communicate career center events and programs.
Track marketing campaigns to identify and measure effectiveness.
Collaborate with the Executive Director to help manage career center initiatives and short- and long-term projects.
Collaborate with the career center team to coordinate logistics for events and programs.
Act as a point of contact for the career center and provide exceptional customer service for all visitors, guests, vendors, employers, students, and alumni. Support front desk operations as needed.
Providing administrative support to the career center as needed.
Provide support as needed for various projects, reports, research, and events.
Support all career center events, as needed.
Contributes to the overall success of the career center by performing all other duties as assigned.
Collaborate with the Executive Director and the Director, Employer Relations & Career Center Operations to conduct outreach to seniors and recent alumni to gather career success outcomes.
Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and career center staff as needed.
Perform other responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
At least 1 or more years work experience.
At least two years experience in event marketing.
A self-starter who demonstrates an ability to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
