Senior Network Security Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Security Engineer to safeguard our organization's network and systems. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of network resources.

What you'll do:

• Design and implement network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs.
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents in real-time.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
• Configure and maintain security appliances, such as firewalls, routers, and switches, to ensure optimal performance.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Implement and manage encryption technologies and secure access methods.
• Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the secure deployment of new systems and applications.
• Investigate and respond to security breaches, including post-incident analysis and reporting.
• Manage endpoint security, including antivirus and endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards.

Who you are!

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in network security or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM solutions.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and analysis.
• Experience with cloud security for platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with encryption standards and secure authentication methods.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle security incidents effectively.
