“We have been on a journey to implement Data Governance in Arla, where we have organized the data in data domains, assigned data owners, implemented a data policy, performed a maturity assessment, and established a set of specific initiatives to drive the maturity of master data within the Product Domain”, says Carmen Ramona Ancuta, Master Data Governance Manager, Product Domain.

 

We are looking for 3 data stewards for three different Masterdata Objects. One for Packaging, one for Master SKU and one for Ingredient. These roles will play a crucial part in Arla's ongoing data journey.

 

How you will make an impact:

As a Data Steward you will play a critical role in transforming the way we work. You will support your organization in defining and managing business terminology in our Data Catalogue, documenting data standards, defining data quality KPIs, managing data quality issues, and executing operational data governance activities. Furthermore you will:

• Define and document metadata, data quality measurements, and data lineage in line with appropriate principles, policies, and rules.
• Investigate critical fields and suggest prioritization to Master Data Governance Manager and Data Owners.
• Keep track of main stakeholders across different levels, changes, governance, and approvals.
• Train users in the new data standards and quality measurements.
• Continuously enrich the metadata by refining and documenting business terms and capturing them in a Business Glossary/Data Catalogue.
• Identify and align on inconsistencies, perform root-cause analyses, and lead data clean-ups.

 

What will make you successful:

The ideal candidate is proactive and skilled at managing stakeholders and knows how important it is to communicate in the right way to the right people at the right time. Furthermore we are looking for someone with:

• Extensive data expertise as a key specialist in the usage and provisioning of data, processes, and record systems.
• Great writing ability – you will be writing definitions, business rules, and procedures in an organized, consistent, and precise manner.
• Experience with SAP ERP system and understanding of material master setup and its link to various connected systems.
• A bachelor's degree or higher, demonstrating analytical skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of data/process structures.
• Experience in an FMCG company with subject matter expertise in production, innovation, supply chain, commercial, and/or finance.
