The Opportunity

Teladoc Health is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our growing team of designers and user researchers. In this role you’ll be a part of a team designing and delivering transformative healthcare experiences across a wide array of platforms including web and mobile. Your work will drive real social impact and you’ll enjoy creative breadth and variety, working across web, mobile, and device interfaces.  

As a Senior Product Designer working on the Pulse Design System, you’ll help build the core design language and foundation for Teladoc Health products. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, content strategists and accessibility specialists to define standards, guidelines and tools that help improve our products. Above all, you’ll get the chance to see the impact of your work throughout the Teladoc Health portfolio – affecting real change in the health of others.

Job responsibilities:

• Create and maintain variable-driven, multi-platform Figma component libraries

• Work closely with engineers to deliver tokens, components and patterns for web, iOS and Android

• Collaborate with product teams (UX design, development, product management) to support the system in action

• Contribute to design system documentation and broader communication strategy to ensure our partners are well-informed

• Iterate on systems-level design decisions while closely understanding the impact to others

• Work closely with and influence product designers

• Stay connected to the latest design systems craft and thought leadership

• Contribute knowledge and best practices within the Teladoc Health design community

Requirements:

• 5+ years professional experience in UX / Product Design, with at least 2 years working on a design system

• Advanced proficiency in Figma

• Demonstrated experience delivering components in a multi-platform environment (web, iOS, Android)

• Experience with design system theming – color modes, multiple brands, etc.

• A strong understanding and commitment to accessibility standards

• Skilled written and verbal communicator – from articulating design decisions to authoring clear documentation

• Unparalleled attention to detail and systems thinking

• Exceptional design skills with an insistence on quality and design-for-impact  

• Able to execute with nebulous or shifting requirements – comfortable with mining for the necessary details to move

• Proven track record in building relationships and credibility with cross-functional partners

• A portfolio of work that showcases your product design and development experience

Our ideal candidate also has:

• Experience working in a highly regulated environment, particularly healthcare

• Experience developing plugins for Figma

• Experience developing for web and/or mobile apps

The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here Teladoc Health Benefits 2024. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
