Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine and scheduled hard drive backups to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Manage hard drive repository for all manufacturing tooling computers, ensuring backups are readily available.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and related hardware devices.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot computer hardware and software errors, including desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
  • Create scripts for system backups, log collection, and troubleshooting common IT issues.
  • Develop and execute SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate data for reporting.
  • Manage hardware inventory and maintain accurate documentation of repairs, replacements, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure proper disposal of old or damaged hardware in compliance with company policies.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and support manufacturing needs, including occasional overtime as required.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • AA degree in Computer Engineering or BS degree in Computer Science preferred. Certifications from vocational or trade schools in computer technology or hardware maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, are acceptable.
  • Hands-on experience with hard drive imaging and backup tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
  • Familiarity with IT asset management and documentation best practices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to write SQL queries for data extraction and reporting.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis functions.
  • Ability to design, build, and maintain interactive BI dashboards using Spotfire or similar tools for data visualization and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
