What are your contributions to the team?

  • Lead root cause and corrective efforts within teams, implementing a data driven culture with project prioritization (Pareto) within all aspects of quality, cost, schedule, cultural and systems improvements
  • Support the development of process strategies for improvement/enhancements across the business unit working process center teams to foster strategic alignment, including the use of the house of quality to ensure alignment
  • Prepare material for strategic plans and process improvements of key site initiatives for management briefings, such as process improvement initiatives
  • Leadership of process change management projects and initiatives in support of site improvement efforts (e.g. Supply Chain Management, Operational Excellence, Process Change Management, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Inventory Management) ensuring targeted improvements are harmonized cross-functionally achieving superior results
  • Support process development and teams integrating objectives for business unit success
  • Assist the leadership with improving the overall decision-making structure and processes of process change management meetings for the applicable site to ensure adherence to process governance
  • Lead the working level process improvement teams in developing improvement projects for cost, schedule and quality improvements, for example, funding, schedule, and expected results for individual process initiatives
  • Assist management with benchmarking process implementation across the applicable site in order to establish the appropriate improvement targets for process centered teams
  • Lead the process change teams in developing required deliverables, implementation schedule, and metrics to measure actual vs. planned objectives
  • Support the development of Six Sigma analysts by delivering training and providing coaching
  • Builds customer relations internally and externally to support efficient process development and follow through
  • Performs project planning for improvement (Kaizen, Yokoten, Project Charting, projects with probabilistic data “Lean Green Belt” to more complex issues and possibilities to analyze data, DMAIC action deployment).
  • Sets up the process flows based on services/products of the Global Bombardier Value Stream Maps (VSM) with support of the supervisors and/or managers
  • Champion standard operational excellence frameworks across the site to establish process consistency and eliminate reliance on tribal knowledge.
  • Participate in and mature the site’s tiered accountability structures, ensuring operational roadblocks are escalated efficiently.
  • Conduct regular process observations (Gemba) to optimize flow and coach local teams in data-driven problem-solving.
  • Manage and validate tracking tools—whether physical or digital—to ensure site metrics support reliable decision-making.
  • Execute targeted improvement initiatives (Kaizens) that directly improve site performance, lead times, and asset productivity.

How to thrive in this role?

  • Typically, 5 years of proven experience in process management improvement
  • Working knowledge of Quality Management System, Organization & Methods Systems, Organizational Development, and Process Workflow Analysis, preferably within the aerospace or a related industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience
  • A Green Belt Certi
