Hinds Hospice, one of the most well-known and well-respected nonprofit agencies in California’s Central Valley and a pioneer in the practice of hospice and palliative care, is seeking a Full Time Thrift Store Assistant Manger.

 

Under direction of the Thrift Store Manager, is responsible for the management of daily thrift store operations by performing the following duties personally or through directing volunteer workers, and is responsible for the overall operation of the thrift store, including but not limited to the following:

  • Prepares, submits, and maintains all applicable paperwork, documentation, and reports associated with daily sales; processing and submitting bank deposits, ensuring the safe handling of all monies and credit card information.
  • Responsible for the security, management, and daily balance of all thrift store operating cash.
  • Oversees customer service levels throughout the store; processes customer transactions at point of sale.
  • Assists with the packing of customer purchases, and assists with transporting packages to specified vehicle for customer, if applicable.
  • Directs sales floor organization, merchandising, and stocking; identifies needs for replenishment and creates plans for fulfillment;
  • Participates in, and directs the execution of merchandise displays, sale and promotional events, and placement of all required marketing throughout the store.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

 

  • Compensation $18- $20 an hour

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • High School diploma or completion of GED program
  • Two-year minimum of retail management experience, or equivalent related experience and/or trainin
