About the team 
The mission of SAP S/4HANA and the Public Cloud ERP Product Management team is to drive and grow SAP’s core business as a market leader in cloud ERP. We are responsible for defining product scenarios based on market and target customer needs and translating them into consumable product requirements for engineering teams. We work together with our engineering, product marketing teams and other Product Management teams’ cross organization, as well as with our customers and partners on continuously improving our SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition product. Product Management is the authoritative voice of the legitimate challenges customers face, evangelizing an outcome-based product vision and roadmap that truly solves customer pain points by creating products that delight, yet serve the needs of SAP.

The SaaS foundation provides the fundamental services for the success of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition entire functional areas: 

• Ensuring a consistent customer experience across all functional areas by delivering important enablers and necessary supplements 
• Striving to cover the entire product with current focus is on the ABAP Core, and reuse services on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) get into focus as well 
• Enabling IT user/Business user persona with supporting functionality

 

The Role
We are looking for a passionate candidate to join the SaaS foundation product management team. Ideally, you bring a track record working with multi-national cloud and state-of-the-art SaaS units and are used to working in a fast-paced and agile organization. You will need to drive your topics with a true SaaS mindset and setup, and quickly establish credibility and trust with key SAP leaders, product marketing and product management teams, engineering teams, customers, and your future peers. 

Your future product management team is responsible for ensuring that SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition includes the necessary SaaS foundation and cloud qualities to create the best customer implementation experience, including but not limited to topics such as Central Business Configuration (CBC), customers transitioning to a three-system landscape, and accelerating implementation timelines through Parallel Project Line (PPL). The team is also in charge of managing product localization across multiple lines of business and driving the evolution of various extensibility options. As a result, experience in one or more of these areas is highly advantageous.

Central Business Configuration (CBC): Understanding of CBC and how it can be leveraged to provide basis for adopting best practices and offer flexibility to easily configure and adapt their system according to their business requirements. Experience in customer implementation projects is a plus.
Three-System Landscape (3SL): Managing the customers transition from a traditional Two-System Landscape 2SL to a Three-System Landscape 3SL and ensuring a smooth migration for customers and change management. Experience in system landscape transformation projects and knowledge of best practices in system architecture is beneficial.
Parallel Project Line (PPL) for Accelerated Implementations: Driving the adoption of PPL, ensuring that customers can benefit from accelerated implementations and ability to prioritize required features with higher impact on customers
