Job Summary:

The Division of Cardiology in the Department of Medicine is looking for a creative, innovative individual to serve as the primary program administrator for the Advanced Cardiac Imaging, Advanced Interventional Cardiology, Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, and Interventional Cardiology fellowship training programs within the Division of Cardiology. This is a full-time, exempt professional position located at the AMC campus. This individual will perform duties as related to planning and coordinating academic, operational, and financial activities of the fellowship programs, assisting in the development of program educational and administrative goals and objectives.

The position will work closely with the Fellowship Manager and another Academic Services professional. The position will develop effective working relationships with other departments such as Graduate Medical Education, Procurement, and external entities. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serves as liaison between fellows and Division of Cardiology and other key stakeholders including Graduate Medical Education (GME), Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), and professional societies and organizations. 
  • Coordinates all aspects of onboarding for new fellows through the GME office.
  • Collect paperwork for fellows to rotate through three different hospitals. 
  • Manages fellow recruitment including:
    • Processing applications through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS).
    • Organizing interview days.
    • Supporting the ranking process through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). 
  • Advises Program Directors of ACGME specialty interpretations and ensures adherence with all ACGME program requirements. 
  • Prepares and submits expense reports on behalf of fellows in compliance with Procurement Service Center policies. 
  • Prepares and submits verification of training forms. 
  • Provides administrative and clerical support to the Program Directors, Academic Services manager and other section faculty as needed.

Work Location:

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.
