Job Title: Associate Merchandiser, Off Price Jewelry
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in merchandising to...
- Adhere to seasonal development calendar, managing team meetings and deadlines
- Analyze global sales, feedback, and historical data on weekly/monthly/seasonal basis to help better assort for future seasons; prepare weekly recaps with action-oriented points for the team
- Maintain ownership of competitive landscape, identifying trends and staying on top of newness in market; utilize findings to identify holes in the current business and opportunities for future growth
- Assist in creating global line architecture based on both market and business trends, with a focus on relevancy and moving the brand forward
- Liaise with all cross-functional partners (PD, Design, Buyers) to execute seasonal assortments from concept to creation
- Manage all operational aspects of the business: style creation and management in ECV
- Partner with team in managing all development milestone meeting preparation, including line architectures, design reviews, pricing & margin reviews, and internal market presentations
- Manage samples for the category – working closely with visual merchandising, sample closet coordinator, PD and Design
The accomplished individual will possess...
- 1+ years in positions offering relevant experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in windows-based software such as excel and word
- Must be able to utilize and master internal software systems
- Initiative/sense of urgency; demonstrated problem solving skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Strategic planning and competitive analysis abilities
- Ability to interact with multiple departments and interact with employees at all levels
- Understanding of the kate spade brand and key competitors
- Retail math training a plus
