At a Glance

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a National Account Manager to join the Pass & Seymour Team, Remotely. The National Account Manager will be responsible for strategic account management, driving sales and share growth for Retail Hardware accounts; as well as collaborating with retail team, customer and rep groups to develop plan and strategy for accounts.  The National Account Manager will prioritize relationship building skills to understand each accounts key strategies and initiatives; strengths; regional and local growth opportunities; develop relationships with corporate and regional leadership; and execute with assigned third party sales representative groups to outpace market growth.

 

What Will You Do?

  • Main Interface: Retail sales teams, EWS divisional business general and product management, account leadership, agency principals and their respective field sales force.
  • Main Job Duties:
    • Develops account growth strategies by collaborating with Retail Leaders, Finance, EWS general managers and product development leaders, as well as a strong understanding of the competitive landscape. Strategy will identify new business opportunities, strengthen Legrand market position, and grow revenue.
    • Creates, reports and evaluates metrics to measure our mutual success with each account. Develops appropriate actions using all resources available.
    • Develops regular in-person meetings with key contacts at account and agencies to measure progress and make improvements to strategy, implementation, and execution where necessary.
    • Acts as key point of contact at the account and with Legrand
    • Partner with Retail Marketing in development of all necessary tools, from in-store merchandising to training materials
    • Work with Retail e-commerce partner to launch and drive incremental sales online
    • Research and acquire new product placement opportunities within the account
    • Develops, maintains, negotiates and implements price increases as needed, in partnership with Legrand divisional business partners.

Qualifications

Education: BA/BS in business, sales, marketing or equivalent account management experience.

 

Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in hardware industry account management, sales or marketing. Electrical experience would be a plus.

 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Teams
    • Ability to mine and navigate Excel for sales analysis, program profitability, pricing for account reviews, evaluating new opportunities, etc.
    • Ability to create professional presentation and training materials in PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multiple brands and position cohesive message
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as both written and verbal communications skills to multiple audiences and a variety of medium
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to travel and work from the road
    • Requires ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and solve problems
    • Must be able to travel via planes, trains and automobiles
    • Ability to plan computer time, travel time and face time, which may not always fall in the 8-5 time bracket

Reporting: This position will report to the VP of Retail Sales.

 

Location: Position is remote, but candidate must live near major airport.  Customers are largely based in Central and East coast time zones.  Company operates locations in multiple states.  No relocation package provided.
