About the Role:

As the Director of Behavioral Health Services and Recovery Services, you will take the helm of CME’s comprehensive behavioral health and recovery support programs, including:

  • Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment
  • Mental Health Services
  • Plan to Work Initiatives
  • Foundational Community Supports
  • Recovery Café and Recovery Support Services

Your Impact:

In this dynamic role, you’ll be responsible for:

 

Leadership and Management:

  • Visionary Leadership: Guide our behavioral health services to align with CME’s vision and values.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and effectively execute service plans.
  • Policy Development: Create and implement best practices for SUD, mental health, and other services.
  • Staff Development: Recruit, train, and supervise clinical and administrative staff, fostering a collaborative and respectful culture.

Program Development and Oversight:

  • Program Management: Design, implement, and evaluate programs to meet community needs and CME goals.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Data-Driven: Use data to monitor effectiveness and guide decisions.
  • Outcome Achievement: Meet all contracted program outcomes with timely reporting.

Client Services:

  • Client-Centered Care: Respect and respond to diverse needs with comprehensive assessments and evidence-based treatments.
  • Service Integration: Advocate for integrating behavioral health with other CME and community services.
  • Privacy & Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality of client information.

Community Engagement and Partnerships:

  • Community Representation: Represent CME in community forums and coalitions.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong partnerships with healthcare providers, government agencies, and community organizations.
  • Resource Acquisition: Assist with grant writing and fundraising to secure funding.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Be the primary contact for key stakeholders, including the WA State Health Care Authority and Social Security Administration.

Financial Management:

  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for behavioral health services.
  • Fiscal Responsibility: Monitor financial performance and ensure sustainability.
  • Funding Opportunities: Pursue grants, contracts, and other revenue sources.
  • Revenue Cycle Management: Ensure financial sustainability through effective revenue cycle management.

Requirements

Education and Experience 

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, public health, or a related field from an accredited college or university. Doctorate preferred. 
  • Have at least 4 years of experience as a licensed clinician providing mental health and/or substance use treatment services.  
  • Must have successfully managed a BH clinic or clinics for at least 3 years, preferably a startup. 
  • Strong understanding of integrated behavioral health services (mental health, substance use, social determinants of health).  
  • Experience in the field of disability and Community Work Incentives Coordinator (CWIC) certification is a plus. 

Certificates and Licenses:  

  • Current valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance 
  • Ability to pass ongoing state and federal background checks. 
  • Must have either a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) License or meet the Mental Health Professional (MHP) qualifications in Washington State. A dual license is preferred.
