Your Opportunity 
As a Software Development Intern with EBSCOlearning, you will work on various aspects of the software development lifecycle in a highly agile environment. This role will be involved with the Sales Order Fulfillment Tool (SOFT) modernization. This will afford the intern an opportunity to work with database structure, data cleansing and software tools used to manage the customer database.
This remote position offers the flexibility to be located anywhere within the U.S.

 

What You’ll Do (Primary Responsibilities)
•    Contribute to creation and implementation of data export and insert tools
•    Work on methods to cleanse the data and update the database by eliminating inactive accounts and aging data
•    Contribute to the implementation, testing, delivery, and of tools used for future maintenance of the SOFT data and software components
•    Work with the CMS Administrator and the Admin team to analyze and recommend enhancements to the SOFT components
•    Perform minor software enhancements and defect fixes for the SOFT components
•    Craft and maintain unit tests
•    Address technical debt issues identified
•    Maintain thorough documentation related to their work
•    Live the principles behind the Agile Manifesto and SAFe framework in all interactions

 

What Sets you apart
•    Working toward a bachelor's degree in a computer science field or related experience
•    Basic knowledge of Software Design, Algorithms, Programming, and Data Structures
•    Experience building software applications in a class, as a personal hobby, as part of an open-source project
•    Experience with source code management tools such as GitHub
•    Experience with programs such as NetSuite, and database tools and/or languages such as JavaScript
