Job Description Summary

This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of functions including, but not limited to, the following:

• Take and process customer orders for ready-mixed concrete
• Schedule orders and dispatch trucks 
• Communicate with customers and provide exceptional customer service 
• Collaborate with all departments 
• Organize and send requested reports and/or order information to customers
• Keep the Customer Service/Dispatch Manager and sales department informed of problems or concerns throughout the day that may require their knowledge or attention
• Communicate directly with the Customer Service/Dispatch Manager regarding any available delivery slots when the schedule books up
• Other duties as assigned
   

Requirements

• Candidate must be energetic and customer friendly with the ability to work in a fast paced team atmosphere that focuses around the customer in the concrete & construction industry.
• Strong computer skills
• Strong attention to detail 
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently, without direct supervision
• Demonstrate good performance, safety and attendance
• Demonstrate a willingness to work overtime and weekends/holidays, especially during the summer season 
• Demonstrates ability to work and communicate well with Supervisors, Dispatchers, Drivers and other employees
• Demonstrate the ability to conform to and maintain MSHA, OSHA, DOT and all other company or governmental state rules and regulations.
• Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required
• Drug screen and background check required before being employed by Clemente Lathan Concrete/Callanan Industries, Inc.

 

Education/Experience

 

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Customer service experience
• Dispatch experience is preferred 
• Readymix experience is preferred
