Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center is the South metro area’s full-service medical center, with the friendly feel of a community hospital and the skill and services of a much larger medical center. Among our specialties: stroke, chest pain, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, cancer care, orthopedic and total joint surgery and a birth center and breast health center.

Responsibilities

Stores incoming linen supplies (i.e., bedding, towels, pajamas, scrubs, etc.) in appropriate locations. Routinely handles approximately 65 separate items, each with a single unit of measure.

 

Utilizes either a hand-held inventory device or an inventory list within assigned storage areas. Performs inventory function according to established procedures.

 

Accurately picks all linen items requested and either labels them for distribution or delivers them to the requesting departments.

 

Matches the requisition with linen supplies picked to ensure accuracy of shipment.

 

Determines and maintains par levels in designated areas, and makes appropriate adjustments as needed.

 

Replenishes primary locations on an as needed basis from secondary stock locations.

 

Answers calls for linen supply needs from end user departments in a timely manner and consistent with department policies and procedures.

 

Inventories and delivers non-stock linen supplies to proper end user departments.

 

Examines linen supplies for damage and defects and takes appropriate action.

 

When inventorying or stocking, rotates stock per department policies and procedures.

 

Notifies Manager of all damaged and outdated linen supplies.

 

Maintains assigned areas in a clean, organized, efficient and safe manner.

 

When linen supplies are low, performs cycle counts and physical inventory as directed verifying physical inventory matches electronic counts.

 

Attends all department in-service sessions as scheduled.

 

Processes credits and charges for departments as needed.       

Exhibits proficiency in the safe use of the following equipment as needed:

 

Electrical forklift                                                                                    

Standard hand truck

Four wheeled carts used for distribution    

Standard delivery cart

Barrel hand truck

 

Utilizes the Materials Management Information System per department policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. 

 

Experience:

Warehouse and/or inventory experience preferred. 

 

Skills:

Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.  Must be able to do simple mathematical calculations.  Requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in cooperation with team members in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range

USD $17.64 - USD $25.23 /Hr.
