This role will be performed ONSITE in our Collins Aerospace location in Coralville, IA. This is a 2nd shift role that will work 3pm- 12am. 

What You Will Do 

• Manage small projects or processes within area of responsibility. Works autonomously with limited oversight. May provide input or guidance to lower-level professionals with tasks and assignments 
• Works to influence parties within and outside of work area at an operational level regarding policies, practices, and procedures 
• Establishes the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow 
• Plans the sequence of operations and procedures and documents manufacturing standard work and routings 
• Plans the allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment 
• Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems 
• Perform defect and failure analysis 
• Lead improvements in process yield, quality, cycle time, inventory accuracy and delivery 
• Report all manufacturing and/or quality problems with parts, equipment, etc. to the Process support and quality team 
• Provides technical assistance and training support to floor and technicians. 
• Work with design engineering in developing new products that are optimized for the manufacturing process 
• Provides technical interpretation of drawings and specifications 

Qualifications You Must Have 

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience

• Surface mount industry (SMI) experience
