POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsible for tackling a wide array of financial business problems through rigorous analysis and effective communication. This position will play an integral role in establishing best practices around budget development and management, financial forecasting, and in-depth ad hoc analysis. This position will work to build strong cross-functional relationships, drive strategic insights, provide key decision support, and play a critical role in forecast and budget management.


Roles:

  •  Analyze financial and operational data to look for trends imperative to future business success.
  • Assist the Sr. Director and CFO of Finance with overseeing the accuracy of financial data.
  • Apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to accounting transactions.
  • Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.


Major Responsibilities or Assigned Duties:

  • Analysis of current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, and expenses
  • Develop and maintain financial forecasts
  • Identify and track key performance metrics pertaining to business operations, benchmarking, etc.
  • Monitoring of performance indicators, highlighting trends, and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
  • Management of budgeting and financial forecasting tools. Support of annual planning process
  • Development of functional financial analyses to support strategic initiatives
  • Automation of operational process to drive efficiency and enhance return on investment
  • Analysis of financial information to provide timely recommendations to management for optimal decision making
  • Collaboration with Senior Management Team in preparation of board presentations and functional reviews
  • Utilize financial modeling and data analytics tools
  • Work on various projects, related data requests and financial reports to support strategic initiatives, ad hoc projects and assignments as they develop




Requirements

Skills and Experience: 

  • Minimum of 2 years prior financial planning and analysis experience preferred
  • Must demonstrate solid business acumen and ability to dig into financial details with a big picture perspective
  • Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills for working with employees at all levels of the company
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • High integrity, strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Highly organized with solid follow-through


Education:

  • BS/BA in accounting or finance required



Work Environment:


Ability to sit at a desk, utilize a computer, telephone, and other basic office equipment is required. This role is designed to be a remote position (work-from-home).
