The hyper growth of our company is one of the most exciting, yet challenging phases an organization may experience. One such challenge is ensuring that our employees have the appropriate learning and development opportunities to be successful in their roles. We are looking for an Senior Onboarding Program Manager to oversee the delivery of various components of Cruise’s indoctrination program including:
- Ignition - a company wide new employee orientation program
- Liftoff - a program for new members of our Engineering function
- New Hire Curriculum - a blended learning program that includes compliance and other critical new joiner courses
Day to Day Responsibilities Include:
- Partner with the Learning Design & Development team on the current onboarding program redesign project
- Provide program management and facilitation support for Cruise’s bi-weekly onboarding program
- Program Management:
- Establish and maintain a program roster for each new cohort
- Develop and deliver all relevant communications to new employees and their managers
- Register all participants and facilitators for appropriate onboarding sessions
- Distribute relevant program materials to participants
- Monitor and respond to messages received on a Slack channel that is established for each new cohort
- Triage issues that arise during delivery
- Coordinate the distribution and consolidation of program assessments
- Managing program success and drive a consistent feedback loop for continuous improvement
- Identify and drive efficiency in the onboarding process by developing best practices and process improvements on an ongoing basis
- Liaise with the Program Manager of Cruise’s Manager Onboarding program to ensure that the appropriate subset of new hires attend that program
- Facilitation:
- Facilitate a multi-day virtual new hire orientation session for groups of varying audience types and sizes working across timezones
- Collaborate with cross functional team of facilitators (~45) to maintain onboarding presentations and supporting resources
- Monitor the performance of those facilitators and provide appropriate feedback to help improve the impact of their sessions
- Program Management:
You Should Apply to this Role if you Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years program managing learning programs
- 3+ years facilitating learning programs in both in-person and virtual environments (leveraging Zoom and Google Meet platforms)
- Proficient in industry standard Learning Management System administrative tasks
- Proficient in Google Suite
- Highly organized and able to efficiently manage multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage expectations, using sound judgment and escalating concerns when necessary
- Proven consultative experience, working with a number of cross functional partners
- Experience developing and managing communications, targeting various levels of the organization
The salary range for this position is $87,800 - 129,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
