SECURITY OFFICER

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in transporting cash and chips to various locations throughout the casino. 

Control access to restricted areas.

React to patron and employee incidents and accidents.

Monitor patron and employee passage in and out of casino and check ID's

 Check for and report safety hazards.

Ensure the safety and security of all guest and employees.

Other duties as assigned.

WORK AREA

Casino environment exposed to hot and cold temperatures, excessive noise levels, bright and/or dim lighting, and smoke.  May include a boat and/or floating barge, high rise hotel and atrium.  Use of stairs and elevator may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Standing/Walking                85%

Bending/Lifting                   10%(up to 250 lbs. With help)

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

A high school diploma or GED equivalent.

One year experience in security preferred.

Must be able to obtain a Mississippi Gaming License.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

Must be able to read and understand simple instruction, use a computer, telephone and two way radio.  

Must have knowledge of local and state laws, gaming regulations, internal controls, Innkeeper Laws and required OSHA regulations. 

Perform duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.

Always maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude and have knowledge of all special events and promotional activities available to guest
