Job Description:

The Postdoctoral Researcher will carry out research in Professor Daniel Kuroda’s research group (2DIR Spectroscopy Lab - https://2dirlab.lsu.edu). The research consists of: Investigating molecular structure and mechanisms giving rise to macroscopic properties of electrolytes both in the bulk and at the interface; Characterizing electrolytes through spectroscopic methods (IR spectroscopy and NMR) and electrochemical (EIS and Cyclic voltammetry) to name a few; Collaborate with theoreticians to obtain molecular insights into the experiments.

Job Duties

• 60% - Perform research in the lab ranging from material preparation, characterization, and modeling, develop projects and propose new ideas.

• 30% - Write manuscripts and support proposal writing and reports on various projects

• 10% - Mentor students and participate in collaborations. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

PhD in chemistry or related field

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in physical or analytical chemistry or related field
