We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plant instrumentation and control equipment. This includes but is not limited to transmitters, sensors, switches, valves, motors, VFDs, lighting, HVAC controls, etc., in support of semiconductor manufacturing operations. You will also perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, HVAC installations, landscaping, etc. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all plant instrumentation, control systems, analyzers, and electrical equipment control
- Responsible for prompt and accurate diagnosis of minor problems and the implementation of corrective action
- Installation of electrical panels
- Conduct evaluation tests on valves, motors, instruments, etc
- Installation of sensors and in some cases electricity
- Change of plugs or light switches
- Installation of lights for warehouse
- Installation of cameras
- Running wire
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.)
- Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure the functionality
- Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.)
- Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.)
- Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- Three (3) years of process instrumentation/electrical maintenance experience in the industry OR two (2) years of maintenance experience in the manufacturing industry
- Must be proficient in troubleshooting using loop drawing, schematics, ladder logic, and electrical one-line
- Proficient in maintaining process control loops, electronic controls, valves, and transmitters ability to install instrumentation including mounting hardware and sensing lines, pulling and termination of I/O cables, configuration, calibration, and basic PLC programming
- Proven experience as an Electrician
- Basic understanding of hydraulic pneumatic
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, standard appliances, and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
- A high school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a relevant field will be a plus.
