SUMMARY: The maintenance clerk position is responsible for supporting the Maintenance department while utilizing the current CMMS Program. This position will be responsible for creating requisitions, ordering, receiving and putting away all facility supplies and maintenance parts. The team member will be required to maintain the maintenance inventory in compliance with Tyson guidelines.

This team member would also be responsible for obtaining competitive pricing, most cost-effective shipment of supplies, expediting emergency orders, constant tracking of all pending orders and back ordered supplies. This position will monitor and issue Warranty claims on parts utilizing the current CMMS program, enter repair and breakdown work orders in the CMMS program. He or she will monitor the status of open work orders waiting on parts; open work orders for which all parts are available; open work orders for outside services (contractors). This position will monitor technicians completed work orders ensuring all parts are charged to correct work orders and equipment. The maintenance clerk will be expected to maintain and update building asset's, p.m.’s, and equipment folders utilizing the current CMMS system.

This position will be required to establish and maintains office files, maintains records and processes forms. The maintenance clerk will help in auditing, updating and maintaining records relating to SOP's, PSM, PHA, RMP, and Maintenance Training. To expedite efficiency and accuracy of the maintenance department the maintenance clerk will help set up an asset and barcoding system utilizing the CMMS program.

This position would need to be able to prepare and copy company reports and assist with weekly and monthly budgets; which will include verifying documents for reasonableness and may require interaction with other supervisors and members of management. He/she may also be involved in interviewing vendors, selecting and evaluating vendors for repairs needed and researching new products.  

QUALIFICATIONS:  

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Education normally acquired through 2 or 4-year degree program is preferred or equivalent combination of experience and education.  

Experience: 2 plus years Office experience, basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel. For example, generating simple letters, spreadsheets, and creating simple queries.
