This position is a part-time temporary position in Oral Immunology and Infectious Diseases at University of Louisville School of Dentistry. This position focuses on oral microbiology research, both at the bench and on computational data in the laboratory of Dr. Matthew Ramsey. Dr. Ramsey will be the direct supervisor and responsible for oversight of the part-time employee. This research will be to continue development, validation and implementation of a microbiome-based in vitro model for cultivation of human supragingival plaque bacteria. The employee will continue to improve the current working in vitro model and is expected to carry out duties at the bench to cultivate plaque bacteria and quantify their abundance. Further the employee will generate DNA sequence data from the model at set intervals, obtain microbiome data and will be responsible for analysis and interpretation of these data in an array of different growth conditions.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
