Position Overview: 

We are seeking an enthusiastic quantum physicist with a profound understanding of the rapidly evolving quantum technologies landscape and business-oriented mindset. The ideal candidate will lead the technological and business aspects of running a state-of-the-art quantum computing lab with multiple technologies, enhance relationships, partnerships, collaborations and business opportunities, oversee the performance and optimization of the quantum systems and lead the future growth of the facility.

As the Head of the Quantum Computing Lab, you will be part of the global team of the IQCC, a world leading quantum data center. You will have a direct and immediate impact on the company’s success by leading the communications with customers, partners and collaborators, while managing the technical aspects of the facility, ensuring seamless experience and optimized performance.

Responsibilities: 

• Tech Lead: Own the technological aspect of a significant cohort of customers and opportunities, and develop relationships and partnerships. Create detailed technical plans to deliver our value proposition for potential customers. Stay up to date with most recent technology progress to bring the cutting-edge experience to our customers.
• Outreach: Lead generation of new partners and customers, support the Business Development team to bring new opportunities and customers, constantly grow and maintain the facility reputation and high demand.
• Operations Facility Management: You will be responsible for bringing up the systems to a working state together with our collaborators, work closely with technical teams to optimize and maintain performance, lead installation of new technologies and scale-up present technologies, while allowing seamless experience to internal and external users.

Requirements

Requirements: 

• Ph.D. in Physics or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in experimental quantum computing
• Experience with cryogenic systems and superconducting or spin qubits – big advantage.
• Experience in the quantum industry – advantage.
• Can-do attitude and customer oriented.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; A self-driven individual with high level of independence and discipline. 
• Ability to build and maintain relationships, both across teams within the organization and with external collaborators.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; excellent presentation skills.
