Are you a strategic and visionary leader passionate about talent acquisition? ERM is seeking an exceptional Recruiting Director for our North America (NA) Region to oversee the recruitment of approximately 600-1000 new hires annually. This role spans all hiring levels, from university graduates and entry-level consultants to Partner-level leadership talent. As a key player, you will work closely with management to understand workforce needs and develop effective, economical, and innovative recruiting strategies. Building strong relationships and delivering results in a fast-paced and evolving environment are critical to your success.

About the Role:

  • Location: Preferred locations include Houston, Minneapolis, or other major hubs in the United States.
  • Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the NA Regional HR Director and functionally to the Global Head of Talent Acquisition.
  • Team: Manage a region consisting of approximately 16+ staff across the United States and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Oversee and manage the allocation of recruitment vacancies across the NA Region to ensure NA FTE budget is met.
    • Lead and empower a team of recruiters, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
    • Mentor and develop recruitment staff to achieve high performance.

  • Strategic Recruitment:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive recruiting plans aligned with business strategy and budget.
    • Stay current with industry trends and innovative recruitment technologies.
    • Actively participate in North America and Business Unit Leadership team meetings

  • Sourcing and Talent Acquisition:
    • Implement diverse candidate sourcing strategies, including ERM.com, LinkedIn, employee referrals, head-hunting, local advertising, and recruitment agencies.
    • Build strong networks through industry contacts, associations, trade groups, social media, and employees to find qualified candidates.
    • Advertise vacancies internally to improve staff mobility.

  • Recruiting Systems and Reporting:
    • Track and measure recruiting processes, ensuring transparency and continuous improvement.
    • Maintain data integrity in ERM’s recruitment system, Workday Recruitment.
    • Ensure compliance with data protection, employment law, and equal opportunity requirements.
    • Review and streamline TA hiring process, to include ensuring proper documented training is in place.

  • Recruitment Process Management:
    • Manage candidate screening, interview scheduling, and provide coaching to TA team and hiring managers.
    • Provide market compensation data in coordination with the North America Director of Compensation.
    • Ensure timely generation of screening and interviewing schedules to support the overall ‘time-to-hire’.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10 + years of proven TA leadership experience managing a large geographically dispersed recruiting team.
  • A blend of agency and in-house corporate recruiting experience is ideal.
  • Experience with RPO management is a plus.
  • 5+ years of expertise in recruiting technical and scientific skills, ideally in environmental, civil engineering, oil & energy, or management consulting desired.
  • Experience in recruiting at all levels, including senior-level candidates.
  • Proficiency with HRMS and MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
  • Skilled in using social media for proactive candidate sourcing.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and interviewing skills.
  • Rigorous usage of recruitment system technology (e.g., Workday Recruitment, Taleo, Brassring, Avature).  Workday experience a plus.
  • A strong track record of building collaborative relationships with hiring managers, HR, and senior stakeholders.
  • High energy, a strategic thinker, passion for talent acquisition, and excellent communication skills.
