As an Accounting Intern at Ware Malcomb, you will support the Project Accounting and Contracts teams through a blend of administrative and analytical tasks. You will assist with research, data cleanup, tracking information, and maintaining accurate project and contract records. Success in this position requires comfort working with Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools, along with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail‑oriented, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a collaborative team.
As an Accounting Intern at Ware Malcomb, you will support the Project Accounting and Contracts teams through a blend of administrative and analytical tasks. You will assist with research, data cleanup, tracking information, and maintaining accurate project and contract records. This is a paid, part-time internship for Summer 2026. This position is in-office.
Your Role
- Assist with planning and coordinating internal team events
- Assist with data cleanup in project and contract logs
- Update and organize information, including master logs maintained in Excel
- Conduct research for project or contract documentation as requested
- Support reconciliation tasks, including verifying information against system records
- Enter and update data in spreadsheets and internal logs
- Support accounting team with preparation of client invoices
- Support with accounts receivable (AR) communication as needed
- Emailing clients and consultants to follow up on contract status
- Support maintenance of project-related files and digital folders
- Support administrative tasks such as logging responses, preparing forms and updating simple documents
- Additional duties and miscellaneous projects, as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Well-organized, reliable and thorough
- Detail-oriented individual who emphasizes accuracy is essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel
- Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint desired but not required
