Job Description

As a (Senior) Software Engineer - Analysis Instruments (m|w|d), you will develop innovative and highly interactive software solutions for our cutting-edge analysis instruments application portfolio. This spans from precise and efficient analysis methodologies to sophisticated and highly interactive visualization concepts, enabling our customers to achieve deep and novel insights in their research.

• You aim to enhance understanding of nature’s complexity with novel analysis and visualization applications as part of the Analysis Instruments Software Team.
• You contribute to the development of highly-interactive analysis software as a member of a cross-functional agile team.
• You design, specify, implement, and integrate modern software solutions to provide research customers with state-of-the-art technology and novel solutions based on various modalities and dimensionalities.
• You write software in C++, apply unit testing, and conduct peer reviews to ensure the highest quality standards for software products.
• You use your knowledge and experience to continuously improve team performance and development processes.

Qualifications

• You have successfully finished your academic education in Computer Science, Natural Science (e.g. Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics) or similar.
• You have several years of experience in writing and reviewing production-level C++ code, demonstrating skills such as multithreading and adding UI widgets. Clean coding comes naturally to you.
• You are excited to develop complex and highly interactive analysis and visualization software application and have demonstrated expertise in the Qt framework, proficiency in Python is a plus.
• You possess strong analytical skills and are able to evaluate and improve existing solutions, with experience in scientific visualization or control software being preferred.
• You have an agile mindset, are solution-oriented, and enjoy working in an international environment with complex systems.
