Job Description:
About the Role:
The Quality Specialist's primary responsibility is being the Quality expert with regards to the Food Safety Plan, Safe Quality Foods (SQF), Product Identity, GMP and understanding the principle of HARPC and FSMA. The Specialist is responsible for maintaining audit readiness, serving as the contact person for regulatory, third party and customer audits. You will add value to this role by:
- Overseeing assigned Document Control Specialists
- Managing Certificate of Analysis review processes
- Reviewing and researching Customer Complaints investigations
- Ensuring Facility is Audit ready at all times
- Managing the Pro-Active Foreign Material Prevention Program
- Reviewing New Ingredients and manage monthly food safety audits
- Creating monthly Trend Review trainings for the plant leadership team
- Verifying Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual ingredient usages.
- Managing and updating the Plants Food Safety Plan, Quality Plan, Food Defense Plan, and Business Continuity Plan
- Completing Traceability audits, and prep for customer, corporate, SQF, and regulatory audits
- Serving as the IQS (Infinity Quality Systems) owner for the facility
Important Details:
This is a full-time, on-site position at our Ogden, UT facility with a day time schedule, Monday – Friday, that may require some flexibility.
About You:
You’ll fit right in if you have:
- BS in Food Science, Microbiology or related field OR comparable experience
- 3-5 Years technical related experience
- Demonstrated experience following instructions/process documents and providing effective communication, both verbal and written
- The ability to problem solve, collect data, and effectively present information to managers, customers, and emplo
