Senior Instructional Designer (Product)

Boston - Office Flex

We’re looking for a creative, organized and independent self-starter to build out technical content and educational programs designed to support and enable our Snyk users and customers. 
This position will be responsible for leading the design and development of engaging and effective learning experiences focused on implementing, adopting, and getting value from Snyk.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep understanding of adult learning principles and experience in instructional design, learning technologies, and project management.This individual will report into the Senior Director, Customer Education & User Success and work closely with a cross functional team of SMEs, engineers, product managers, and content creators.

As a Senior Instructional Designer (Product), you’ll spend your time:

• Leading the design and development of engaging and effective learning experiences, which can include blended learning, self-directed learning, microlearning, instructor-led training, and hands-on workshop activities
• Collaborating with subject matter experts, product leaders, and other stakeholders to identify learning needs and objectives, and gathering input to the development of learning plans and materials
• Creating scalable learning paths to support the Customer  journey from beginning to advanced platform use based on key business objectives
• Applying adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create learning experiences that are relevant, effective, and engaging
• Designing and developing certifications and assessments that measure learner knowledge, skills, and competencies, and that evaluate the effectiveness of learning experiences
• Ensuring that learning experiences meet quality standards and are accessible
• Learning and understanding the Snyk product inside and out to help identify additional opportunities for improvement in our educational programs

You should apply if you:

• Have 4-6+ years of combined experience building engaging educational content in a variety of formats
• Have working familiarity with the developer tooling and/or Application Security space
• Have extremely strong organizational and project management skills and are able to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously  
• Are entrepreneurial and thrive in a fast-paced, global environment across multiple partners, and are motivated to build something new and have a meaningful business impact
