The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Finance Manager, FP&A, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Support the Director of FP&A by analyzing relevant information, trends (internal and external), and drawing conclusions to support strategic and operational planning.
• Drive the BG finance operational rhythm, assuring alignment and process standardization with leadership in the Strategic Planning process, Operating Plan target setting and execution, and Quarterly Operating and Financial reviews
• Throughout the year, develop cadence and analytics to connect financial performance to the financial plan. 
• Leverage the “Plan Do Check Act” framework to understand financial performance, operational drivers, and actions that need to be taken
• Drive standardization and centralization of financial reports to leverage resources, speed, and simplicity across the BG and coordination across the enterprise
• Support weekly management processes and reporting
• Conduct financial analysis of BG investment opportunities and BG portfolio initiatives
• Responsibility for all components of the BG Sponsored P&L, including budget management of central marketing and R&D.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to senior management on strategic initiatives and other special projects.
• Manage a team of financial analysts, providing coaching and development opportunities to support their growth and success

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• Seven (7) years of Finance and/or accounting experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master's degree in Finance from an accredited institution
• Seven (7) years of experience providing financial counsel/analysis
• Strong Finance and Accounting knowledge
• Highly proactive self-starter with the ability to drive change
• Experience working on cross-functional teams

Work location:

Hybrid Eligible (Job duties allow for some remote work but require travel to the Maplewood, MN, 3 days per week).

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $188,251 - $230,084, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
