Role Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer will support factory operations by alleviating technical and logistical issues, providing corrective action for quality issues, and provide optimization for design and manufacturing opportunities.

What You Will Do:

• Apply manufacturing engineering skillsets across the extended value stream to resolve constraints and improve process and product designs
• Leverage knowledge and technical skills to influence business decisions and results from new designs to recurring production
• Design, control, and improve the producibility of products through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team
• Lead and coordinate projects, efforts, and improvements across the extended value streams
• Act as the manufacturing and producibility authority within the program
• Identify and resolve constraints across the program
• Participate in corrective action investigation
• Provide technical input and peer review to engineering design changes

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum 3 years experience.
• Experience with MRP systems such as SAP/PRISM.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF).
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Ability to identify, reduce and eliminate cost, quality and schedule constraints through technical engagements
• Understand and utilize factory and program performance data
• Ability to work or lead in groups and cross functional teams
• Experience interpreting and improving technical drawings
• Experience with technical writing
• Experience with DOD financial reporting systems including EAC and EVMS processes
• Experience teaching, training and/or mentoring manufacturing systems to junior engineers
• Experience communicating technical information to different audiences
• Current DOD Security Clearance
