The Production Supervisor – Tire Building is responsible for leading and supervising hourly production employees to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality pressroom operations. This role drives daily execution, supports employee development, and ensures compliance with company policies, safety standards, and production goals.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Supervise hourly production employees, utilizing Group Leaders to assign work, monitor performance, and support training.

  • Oversee employee training, job performance, and coordination with Quality and Process Engineering.

  • Manage employee-related activities, including attendance, conduct, and personnel movement within and between plants.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, security protocols, and proper use of company property.

  • Manage workflow to meet production schedules and quality requirements.

  • Complete and approve timekeeping, paperwork, and required documentation.

  • Enforce company policies and address infractions in accordance with the Salaried Non-Exempt Handbook.

  • Evaluate employee capabilities and complete written performance reviews.

  • Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure routine and corrective maintenance needs are met.

  • Communicate effectively across shifts to ensure smooth transitions.

  • Mentor, coach, and train employees to support continuous improvement.

  • Communicate departmental issues and personnel concerns to the Production Manager.

  • Collaborate with other plants to maximize staffing efficiency and operational effectiveness.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

THE ENVIRONMENT

  • Safety is our highest priority. All safety procedures and guidelines must be followed at all times, including the use of required PPE such as steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.

  • This role is in a non-climate-controlled environment and involves exposure to temperature extremes (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and elevated noise levels.

  • The position includes a variety of physical tasks, such as lifting and operating machinery. Comprehensive training is provided.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience

  • Ability to follow instructions written in standard English.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

  • Ability to frequently bend, climb, squat, crawl, reach, and twist.

  • Ability to frequently lift 20–75 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.

  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., data entry, creating Word documents).

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
