Job Description

This role will be based in San Francisco or Sunnyvale.

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. 

We are seeking a highly analytical and driven Senior Associate, Strategic Finance to help drive global financial planning, reporting, and decision support for LinkedIn Talent Solutions. This role sits within the Business Insights & Analysis team and partners closely with senior finance leaders and cross-functional stakeholders across Sales and Operations. 

The Senior Associate will play a key role in monthly close and forecasting cycles, global performance reporting, and developing clear, executive-ready business narratives. This position also contributes to ad hoc strategic initiatives and high-impact analyses. The role offers strong exposure to SaaS finance fundamentals, executive-level storytelling, and the operational dynamics of a global business. 

Responsibilities

Strategic Thinking 

  • Operationalizes ideas and develops plans for execution with some support from more senior team members.  
  • Builds collaborative relationships with other teams and seeks input and feedback to develop an understanding of their priorities and constraints. 

Stakeholder Influence 

  • Leverages insights and data to develop narratives to influence stakeholders with limited guidance.  
  • Synthesizes problems and communicates point of view to support decision-making on issues related to individual work in smaller group discussions. 

Execution & Organization 

  • Partners with cross-functional stakeholders to support the growth of initiatives by providing a metrics- oriented perspective, with minimal supervision.  
  • Proactively identifies obstacles and works to unblock them with minimal support. 

Performance Management 

  • Access, transform, and synthesize data from cross-platform data sources and analyze to assess signals, trends, and risks. 
  • Executes ad hoc analyses to prove/disprove hypotheses and address ambiguous or complex business questions, deriving actionable insights from results.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field AND minimum 3 years of experience in finance, finance accounting, management consulting, investment banking, or related field OR equivalent experience. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • 1+ years of experience in the technology industry. 
  • Experience working with financial systems and SQL to query, manipulate, and reconcile large datasets 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

The pay range for this role is $98,000 to $158,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
