About the role

Position Summary:

Intensive In-Home Associate Professionals provide direct therapeutic interventions intended to stabilize the living arrangement, promote reunification or prevent utilization of out-of-home placement for identified youth through the age of 20. These services are provided in multiple locations, including the home and community of the person served. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide crisis intervention services;
  • Providing information to IIH team lead for possible person-centered plan updates and changes.
  • Participate in the implementation of person-centered plan and crisis plan with IIH QP
  • Provide supportive skills and psychoeducational support to the child and family to improve stability and coping mechanisms;
  • Work with caregivers in the implementation of home-based behavioral supports;
  • Help monitor presenting behavioral and/or addiction symptoms;
  • Provide parent skills training to encourage family skill base around crisis response and interdependence with community resources;
  • Psychoeducational support regarding wellness, recovery, and substance use;
  • Assist in transition in and out of Intensive In-Home services, working in cooperation with other providers/agencies.
  • To document services and service provision according to ESUCP, state and federal guidelines.
  • Keep supervisor (either Clinical Team Leader or other professional staff) informed of clinical and administrative issues relating to service delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

Persons in this position must:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in the human services field;
  • Have documented experience with the population to be served;
  • Demonstrate high moral and ethical character, and be free of any substantiated charges of abuse or neglect on the NC Healthcare Registry;
  • Maintain valid insurance for personal vehicles utilized for work;
  • Complete within 90 days trainings as required by agency and service model.
