Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Security Operations Engineer to manage and administer our private cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS and Azure, with a keen understanding of cloud infrastructure, vulnerability remediation, and versioned code management. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively troubleshoot, manage vulnerabilities, and contribute to the deployment and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, ideally using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.

Qualifications// Required:

• Proficient in troubleshooting EC2 instances and Linux hosts.

• Skilled in authoring, publishing, and maintaining Amazon Machine Images (AMIs).

• Experienced in managing vulnerability processes, including the identification and remediation of common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVEs).
  Capable of assessing, prioritizing, and responding to security threats and exposed credentials.

• Proficient in navigating and editing code repositories, ensuring proper version control and collaboration with development teams.

• Experienced in authoring and managing modules for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployment.
  Familiarity with tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, or similar frameworks.

Recommended Certifications:

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner: Demonstrates foundational knowledge of AWS cloud services and solutions.
AWS SysOps Operator: Validates technical expertise in deployment, management, and operations on AWS.
Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate: Confirms proficiency in managing Azure cloud services and supporting cloud infrastructure.

Additional Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with automation and orchestration tools.
Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.
