We use good data, in-depth analysis and cross-functional insights to identify and communicate best practices, elevating our sourcing and procurement activities to achieve their very highest potential.

A role with Procurement is a chance to positively impact several key areas of Target’s business. Your input will ensure that Target realizes the expected value from the terms of our agreements that comprise nearly a $14 billion annual spend toward innovative and competitively priced indirect goods and services by:

  • Promoting best practices across the entire company by developing deep knowledge and client relationships in each spend category

  • Providing expert integrated business planning and stakeholder management for all indirect items and services

  • Applying intelligent rate, demand and specification levers to source, negotiate and contract services while sustainably lowering costs

  • Propelling the business with accurate and comprehensive demand forecasting, financial planning and item setup

  • Changing the game for our internal online catalog end users by making the entire buying process faster and simpler

As a Lead Program Manager in Indirect Planning, you will lead planning operation projects, programs, and cross functional initiatives that drive improvements across forecasting, demand planning, item management, and supplier capacity health. This role focuses on translating strategy into outcomes, using data to proactively identify opportunities, address gaps, and improve outcomes across planning responsibilities.
 

You will stand up and evolve planning capabilities that ensure timely and accurate inputs and outputs across the ecosystem. You will also lead and support planning strategies that improve timelines and quality, enable proactive risk management, and strengthen forecasting and demand planning outcomes. You will proactively drive improvements in results, bringing strong planning acumen and strategic perspective to develop, influence, and implement solutions. You will leverage data alongside business context and operational insight to assess performance, guide decisions, and continuously improve results, with a focus on driving meaningful impact.


As a Lead Program Manager, you will influence beyond direct ownership by building alignment, connecting teams, and driving shared outcomes across the enterprise. You will model trust, healthy conflict, and accountability, helping elevate team dynamics while strengthening partnerships and driving action in complex environments. This role requires the ability to lead with strategy, confidence, and clarity while translating enterprise priorities into results.

About you:

  • Proven change management

  • Planning acumen

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience

  • 2-6 years of relevant experience

  • Proficient in Microsof
